YKK HELLAS Á.Å.Â.Å.
Communication of important environmental aspects
DATE OF ISSUE: 31-07-2007
ISSUED BY: QEMS responsible
APPROVAL: Factory Manager

The company, at this time, recognizes two significant environmental aspects: The first two are under strict multiple parameter monitoring.
The third one is controlled by a licenced technician (subcontractor).

The evaluation criteria used for the assessment of each aspect are based on a multi-item scale. The basic elements taken into account are:

1. Environmental Impact

This represents the impact of each activity on the environment (local or global scale).

2. Frequency of Occurrence

The importance is related to the frequency of each activity, which may vary from "never" to "monthly" or "daily".

3. Frequency of Available Controls

Certain impacts are monitored continuously. Others, due to minimal fluctuation, need no frequent measurements.

4. Applicable Legal Limitations

The legal frame of each impact is taken into account. This includes the National & European Legislation.

5. Other Regulatory Limitations to which the company subscribes

Any limitation related to Customer Demand, International Treaties, or other type of restrictions is included.

6. Cost of Repair in Case of Accident

The specific gravity of each case is examined on the basis of repair cost.
